10 NEW DISHES, DESSERTS AT VIKINGS FOR VALENTINES DAY

 

Vikings Buffet Restaurant in Bacolod City is preparing some special dishes which they intend to include in their already wide array of food offering only on the day of hearts.I was one of those food bloggers who were invited to try these offering prior to Valentines Day.

Valentine’s Day is a festival of love. Love is a universal language that is why many people celebrate valentines day all over the world. Many people celebrate their love for their special someone by sending cards, giving gifts… and of course, flowers. Some people also use the occasion to delight their loved ones with lavish gifts such as jewelry.
Valentines day is not only limited to a romantic relationship. This special day is also celebrated by others with their parents, friends and other people important to them.
Of course, Valentines day is best celebrated by many through a romantic or special meal with their special someone. Many restaurants and hotels have special offers at this time of the year.

Here’s the 10 NEW DISHES, DESSERTS AT VIKINGS FOR VALENTINES DAY

Waldorf Salad

1. Apple Waldorf, Mixed Greens, and Grapes in Vinaigrette. The flavors of the apples, grapes and walnuts are so clean and fresh. It never fails to please.”

2. Chili Roasted Ginger Salmon Belly Teriyaki.The big slab of salmon and the species used  was just perfect.

3. Sweet Lover’s Shrimp. Just the presentation of this dish will make you fall in love.

4. Oyster Cake, Oysters. I forgot to ask the reason behind this recipe why it was included in their valentines offering. But a friend told me that oysters contain dopamine, which increases both sexual desire and testosterone levels, so that people can get down to action with the products from pluglust.com. Need I say more?

5. Baltimore Style Crab Cakes with Tartar Sauce. I love Crab Cakes and at home whenever we have this, I would eat this dish like any burger.I also love eating this dish along with any salad like Coleslaw or potato or macaroni salad.

6. Baby Back Ribs in Spicy Orange Chocolate Sauce.The simply-grilled ribs get their massive dose of flavor after their time on the grill is done, by tossing them with spices, orange, and chocolate sauce. The way the ribs was cooked along with its special sauce makes the ribs effortlessly memorable.

7. Balut in Spicy a la Pobre Sauce. The street food Balut made into a gourmet dish. The Ala Pobre sauce played a very important role in this dish because it balances the taste of the balut.

8. Chicken Piccata with Capers. For me, this dish can be best enjoyed with a glass of white wine and fresh garden salad. This Italian chicken Piccata recipe is sure to please your entire family.

9. Triple Chocolate Brownie with Walnuts. In this dessert, they use heart shaped brownie which is of course a symbol of Valentines. Again, I don’t want to say more, but, chocolate has long been known as a sensual treat.

10. Strawberry Jello with Panna Cotta Shots and Caramel Macchiato Parfait. The Strawberry Jello with Panna Cota shots dessert is all red and pink; soft and creamy – a very romantic combination and perfect for Valentines Day. The Caramel Macchiato parfait has cubes of pound cake with caramel coffee syrup. A dollop of whipped topping and some shaved chocolate adds richness to this dessert.
