15 MUST TRY FILIPINO DISHES AT CHALET RESTAURANT,  L  FISHER HOTEL

That was one fun gathering of the Negrense Blogging Society (Negros Bloggers) and other media practitioners at the Chalet Restaurant of L’ Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City, Philippines

Negros Bloggers is really a fun community and we always gather as a group. We have developed good friendships through the years and we always look forward to gathering very often for fun and laughter.

Talking about fun and laughter, Chalet Restaurant of L’ Fisher Hotel is one best place to hang out with your family and friends. You can even unwind in the place to enjoy some food while your kids enjoy the pool. The chalet restaurant is located at the roof deck of L’ Fisher Hotel offering a good view of some parts of Bacolod City including the Bredco Port. A perfect place for guests visiting Bacolod City. While Chalet Restaurant also offers some Pizza and other dishes, their main focus is on native food. The restaurant opened 6:00 in the morning until 10:00 in the evening except for Friday and Saturday which restaurant opened from 6:00 in the morning until 2:00 in the morning the following day.

Chalet Restaurant is one of my favorite places to entertain my guests or even meet my clients for the Jojo Vito Designs Gallery and Intraspec Management Consultancy. One obvious reason maybe is the nice ambiance and relaxed atmosphere, especially from sunset till evening.

1. BEEF BAKARETA

Bakareta, the beef version of the caldera is one of my favorite Filipino dishes. This hearty meat dish used beef instead of goat’s meat combined with potatoes, carrots, tomato sauce, and liver spread or liver paste.

2.PINAPUTOK NA TILAPIA

One good Filipino dish offered at Chalet restaurant is Pinaputok na Tilapia wherein the fresh Tilapia is stuffed with a generous amount of tomatoes, onions, and ginger up to the maximum point that the cavity of the fish can handle. The term “pinaputok” is a Filipino word for explode or burst.

3. SEAFOOD KARE-KARE

If you want a healthier meal, try the Seafood Kare-Kare, the seafood version of the original Kare -Kare which uses Ox Tail.

1. Crispy Pata, 2. Beef Kare-Kare, 3. Crab Relleno

5. BEEF KARE KARE

Another favorite dish of mine is the Beef Kare-Kare. A slice of meat, tripe, and oxtail stew with vegetables in peanut sauce customarily served with bagoong alamang (shrimp paste).

6. CRAB RELLENO

This delectable dish is made of crab meat with other ingredients stuffed in its shells and fried.

7.PORK LIEMPO

Grilled Liempo served with atchara and best when dipped with vinegar, soy sauce, and kalamansi.

8. BISTEK TAGALOG

Bistek is a type of Mexican dish, that consists of pieces of salted and peppered sirloin, usually flattened with a meat tenderizing tool, and is covered in bread crumbs, which is to be fried later. The Tagalogs of the Philippines came up with their own version of bistec known as Bistek Tagalog which is typically made with onions and strips of sirloin beef slowly cooked in soy sauce and calamansi juice.

9. PANCIT MOLO

Pancit Molo, an adaptation of wonton soup, is a specialty of the town of Molo in Iloilo a well-known district in the province. Unlike other pancit, pancit molo is not dry but soupy and it does not make use of long, thin noodles but instead, wonton wrappers made from rice flour. Leftover wonton wrappers can also be cut into strips and drop into the hot broth.
