Meat carving station? My friends were surprised on our last visit to Viking Buffet restaurant in because each time we visit the place, I would always go first to the Japanese food station to the restaurant.
Well, maybe I want to have something different this time and besides the food station of Vikings Buffet Restaurant in Bacolod seemed to be very attractive. It is something that I would like to do when I have some gatherings at home.
Here are the four dishes which I guess you should try when you visit the Vikings Buffet restaurant in Bacolod City.
Roasted turkey is usually a favorite dish during Thanksgiving in the Big Apple. This dish is perhaps the equivalent of our “Lechon” (roasted pork) which is typically present to most of our major parties or events in the Philippines.
What I like about Roasted Turkey is that it contains more protein per ounce than other meats. The white meat of turkey is generally considered healthier than dark meat because of its lower saturated fat content, but the nutritional differences are small. Roasted Turkey is typically served stuffed or with dressing or gravy. Familiar complementary dishes which include mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, squash, and sweet potatoes.
Flat iron steak is the American name for the cut known as butlers’ steak in the U.K. and oyster blade steak in Australia and New Zealand. It is cut with the grain from the leg of the animal producing a flavorful cut that is a bit tough because it contains a gristly fascia membrane unless removed.
What I like about this steak is that this one doesn’t get much in the way of seasoning, because it doesn’t need it. Just a little salt and pepper and you’re good to go. Flat iron steak, is best served as medium rare; otherwise, it will become chewy.
Souvlaki is a favorite Greek fast food consisting of small pieces of meat and sometimes vegetables grilled on a skewer. I love having this Lamb Souvlaki eaten with pita bread along with some garnishing, sauces and with fried potatoes.
This simple bacon wrapped meatloaf is just something that you will love. The bacon made a decadent touch to the meatloaf. Velvety mushroom gravy is just perfect for this dish.
