How to Get There:
Daily flights are available in the Philippines from Manila to Dumaguete City.
Daily ferries direct to Dumaguete City are also available for guests travelling from Cebu.
Transfers can be arranged from Dumaguete City to Apo Island.
From Dumaguete City,if you arrange with Apo Island,a chauffeur will drive you 30 minutes to Malatapay, Dauin. From Malatapay, a boat will take you directly to Apo Island.

Dumaguete is known as the university city because of its many schools. Students from Mindanao and Visayas go there to study college. One of the most popular educational establishments is Silliman University, which also attracts many students from other countries.
The historical Siliman University was established in 1901and has thirty five hectare area. Located just within the city, the university has become a noted sanctuary for different species of birds. There are old trees around the school and are living witness to the changing times. The major structures there are known as Channon Hall, Oriental Hall, Occidental Hall and Guy Hall. These are the same places that the Japanese army used when they are planning their attacks during the Second World War.
- GO DOLPHIN WATCHING IN BAIS
Dolphin Watching is another best thing to do when in Dumaguete City. Dolphin watching is Bais City, 45 km to the north of Dumaguete City. Visitors sail from Bais City’s Capiñahan Wharf and proceed to the home of the dolphins: Tañon Strait. Among the species in Tañon Strait are the famous spinner dolphins and the melon-headed whales.
The trip may end at the Manjuyod Sandbar, a crescent strip of white sand that appears when the tide is low.

How to get to Bais:
The Capiñahan Wharf in South Bais Bay is the most convenient point of taking off to Tañon Strait. The best and most cost effective ways is to organize a group and rent a van in Dumaguete to bring you to the Capiñahan Wharf. This will cost approximately P1, 300. The boat that will take you out to the Strait costs between P2, 500 to P3, 000 depending on the number of people boarding. Being in a group allows you to split the transportation costs. If a van is not available, jeepneys plying the Dumaguete-Bais route cost only a cheap P15, and another P10 to take you to the Capiñahan Wharf.

How to Get There From Dumaguete:
By public transport: take a pedicab (tricyce) and ask to be taken to the jeep or bus terminal going or passing through San Jose. Instruct the jeep/bus driver to drop you off the junction going to the Balinsasayao Twin Lakes. This is after you’ve passed Sibulan proper but before you reach San Jose proper (around 30 minutes). From that junction, it’s a long uphill road. Hire a motorbike (habal-habal) to take you to the lakes. Make sure to arrange for your return. P150 one-way
By private transport: from Dumaguete, take the national highway going north. After around 14 kms, you’ll see the big sign on the left “Twin Lakes”. Take a left at this junction. You’ll start gaining altitude. You’ll be at the lake after 13.5 kms from that junction.

How to Get There:
From Dumaguete City
Thirty minutes away from Dumaguete City just take a bus and inform the “konduktor” to drop you off at Lalimar Beach Resort.
From Cebu City
Take a bus from Cebu South Bus Terminal and Ride a Ceres Liner or Any Bus and told the Ticket Specialist that they will drop you off at Dumanjug, Tangil Wharf. Then if you reached Basak, Guihulngan City Wharf, just take a Tricycle and inform the Driver to drop you off at Lalimar Beach Resort it takes only a hour to reached it.

I am a local of Dumaguete and it is a fact that Dumaguete itself does not have much to show as an attraction. But I was hoping that Casaroro falls could have gotten your attention too. =)
