7 MUST-TRY DISHES AT CHOOBI CHOOBI SEAFOOD BAG | BACOLOD CITY

We were invited recently to the grand opening of the new outlet of  Choobi Choobi at SM City, Bacolod. Of course, after the ribbon cutting ceremony and blessing of the store, we were treated with their various offerings. Choobi Choobi served a wide array of food selections, but seafood is their specialty.

So far, here’s my 7 Must-try dishes at Choobi Choobi Bacolod:

 

SEAFOOD BARKADA BAG 560

The Seafood Barkada Bag was the first dish that caught my eyes when the food was served on our table. As the name of this seafood dish implied, it’s for the whole gang as this dish can help 4-5 persons. It contained some mussels, baby lobsters, shrimps,  some chorizo, and corn.  Price – Php 560.00

 

SHRIMP IN A BAG (SALTED EGG SHRIMP) 

Of all their seafood offerings, I guess shrimp is their primary product. The Shrimp in a Bag comes in various flavors. One of the best dishes of the Shrimp in a Bag that I have tried is this Singaporean-style shrimp. The recipe is flavored with salted eggs which give the plate a distinct yummy flavor. Price- Php 380.00

 

 

 

SHRIMP IN A BAG (BUTTER GARLIC)

Another flavor of Choobi Choobi’s Shrimp in a bag is the butter garlic. This flavor is good especially if you don’t want so much flavor in the shrimp. Price – Php 350/ 1 lb; PHP 185/.5 lb

 

STUFFED GRILLED SQUID

This stuffed grilled squid comes as a surprise to me. The squid is stuffed with rice seasoned with squid ink and some seasoning. The sauce is quite sweet which creates balance to the dish. Price-PhP 195/Medium;   PHP 215 /Large

 

GRILLED POMPANO

This grilled pompano is one of the favorite dishes of Choobi Choobi. I like this fish because it’s meaty and it’s flesh holds together very well. Price 75/100g

 

PORK BARBECUE 

For those who are not really into seafood, Choobi Choobi also offers other dishes like this pork barbecue. Price – PhP 24/STICK

 

CHOOBI PATA LARGE 

Choobi Pata is Choobi Choobi’s version of the famous Crispy pata. Need I say more about this dish? It’s crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Price -Php 405.00
