I  will never run out of topics to write about Bago City, Negros Occidental. I believe that this city has so much potential and has more to offer to any visitor who would want to visit the place.

By private car, Bago City can be reached for 20 to 30 minutes only. Hence, this place is a potential side-trip destination when one is visiting Bacolod City.

The life- size monument of Gen. Juan Araneta  located right at the plaza of Bago City. The monument serves as  a reminder of the  momentous event when the legendary hero  lead his troops armed only with nipa stalks and rolled sawali mats painted black, in an attack known as the great  historic bluff that liberated Negros from Spanish domination in 1898. Also in the  foundation of the said monument lies the remains of the late gallant leader and hero of Bago.

For nature lovers, Rafael Salas Park, and Nature Center is a unique interest park that serves as a gateway to the Mt. Kanlaon Natural Park. Kipot Twin Falls

3. KIPOT TWIN FALLS [ Destinations in Bago City ]

Located in Brgy. Mailum, Bago City, the enchanting Kipot Twin Falls is a stream separated by a sharp overhang that splits the path of water into two seemingly identical cascades. The magnificent falls make you feel you’re in the middle of a mystical paradise. Kipot Twin Falls is ideal for family picnics and nature tripping activities. The place has some cabanas and a viewing deck. There’s no restaurant on the site, so make sure to bring food when visiting the area. Kipot Twin Falls is just a few kilometers from Buenos Aires, so you could ask your vehicle driver to bring you to the place for a short visit.

Pataan Mountain Resort

4. PATAAN MOUNTAIN RESORT [ Destinations in Bago City ]

A lovely weekend destination, Pataan Mountain Resort can be accessed via Murcia or Ma-ao. The Murcia route is more exciting and scenic, but I guess a bit dangerous also since there are areas that are steep. However, the travel time on this route is shorter if you’re coming from Bacolod City. The Ma-ao route is a lot safer especially if you have kids with you. The food in the place could be quite pricey, so it would be best to bring some food with you.

Tinago Mountain Resort, formerly known as Hidden Valley is just a few kilometers from Pataan Mountain Resort. The resort has waterfalls, swimming falls, and cottages. This place is a good option especially if you found Pataan Mountain Resort a bit congested especially during weekends.
