I was lucky to be one of the winners of the TAT Newsroom Blogger Campaign Contest recently sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. My winning in competition brought me to all expenses paid Familiarization Trip in Bangkok, Chiang Rai, and Chiang Mai. The familiarization trip gave me a fresh view of Thailand having visited places which I have never been in the past. Apart from the usual, but spectacular temples that are scattered around the country, Thailand has more places and adventure activities which will surely delight any of her guests.
Listed below are my 10 Ways to Enjoy Amazing Thailand based on my recent visit:
So delectable Thai dishes…
1. TASTING AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD
One of the best parts of TAT Newsroom Blogger Campaign Familiarization Trip was tasting great and authentic Thai Cuisines. For me, Thai Food could be one of the reasons why you should visit Thailand. In fact, I am planning to go back to Thailand to discover and write more about Thai Cuisines. During my last visit, I was impressed by the food served at Eat Sight Story Deck. The place also offers a beautiful view of the Wat Arun across the river. Another place which can give you a pleasant gastronomic experience is the Krua Tamnak located in the area of Doi Tung Royal Villa and Mae Fah Luang Garden. The Phu Phirom Restaurant at the Singha Park is another favorite dining place of mine.
2. GO CRAZY WITH THE WOODEN GO-KARTS AT DOI MON CHAEM
Try the wooden go-karts at Doi Mon Chaem, and you will surely get crazy. The village is approximately 40 minutes drive from Chiang Mai. At first, I was hesitant to try the go-karts because we need to go to an elevated part of the hill so that the cart will be pulled by the gravity. Besides the go-karts at Doi Mon Chaem is just made of wood and improvised wheels. But then it turned out to be the hilarious experience I ever had in Chiang Mai. Given the opportunity to visit the place in the future, I will try again and enjoy go-karting at Doi Mon Chaem.
This Fire Massage is unique and a very relaxing treat…you should try this!
3. GETTING A FIRE MASSAGE AT BAN RAI KONG KING
I love getting a massage. This is one of my favorite self-pampering activities whenever I had a chance. But apart from the traditional Thai Massage which is a signature of the country. Thailand offers another unique treatment which will not only relax your weary body but will even amaze you – the Fire Massage in Ban Rai Kong King.
To have this treatment, the masseuses first dip their feet in water infused with herbs and Cannabis Oil. Next, they slide their feet on a hot plate and transferring the heat into your body. Oh, yes, they use their feet for the massage – another reason why this treatment is quite exciting.

4. EXPERIENCING THE ADRENALINE RUSH WITH THE ZIPLINE AND GASTRONOMIC TREAT AT SINGHA PARK
I love adventure, so I got excited in some activities like Zipline which can give me some sort of an adrenaline rush. The Zipline at Singha Park is not that high Shortly after our art appreciation tour, our group headed to Singha Park, where we were made to experience their 600-meter Zipline and enjoyed the scenic views around Rai Boon Rawd. At sunset, the TAT Newsroom bloggers were treated at the Phu Phirom restaurant which boasts 360-degree panoramic views of the beautiful hills.

5. A VISIT TO THE WHITE TEMPLE (WAT RONG KHUN)
A visit to Chiang Rai will never be complete without seeing the Wat Rong Khun or the White Temple. The majestic temple is one of the most important creations of famous Thai artist Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat who personally oversees the construction of the temple. Also visit the local art gallery which exhibits the artist’s original pieces of art, many of which are highly sought after by collectors.

6. VISIT THE DOI TUNG ROYAL VILLA AND RELAX AT THE MAE FAH LUANG GARDEN
Another pleasant experience when visiting Chiang Rai, Thailand is to step on the former residence of the princess mother (mother of the present king) Somdej Phra Srinagarindra – the Doi Tung Royal Villa. Visiting this place will you a hint of the simple living of the Princess Mother. Just below the Royal Villa, you will find the fantastic Mae Fah Luang Garden. The beautiful garden houses thousands of flowering ornamental plants,a real feast to the eye.
7. VISIT THE BIZZARE BLACK TEMPLE, BAAN DAM MUSEUM
Another place which you need to visit while in Chiang Rai, Thailand is the Baan Dam Museum, also known as the Black Museum. The bizarre Museum is a temple style art gallery beautiful by Thailand’s national artist Thawan Duchanee. The museum complex houses animal bones, sculptures bones and unique collection of Lanna-style houses, most of these houses are painted black to emphasize the architectural details.

8. TASTE THE DELICACIES AT THE WALKING STREET OF CHIANG RAI
A fun activity to do at night while in Chiang Rai is to visit and experience the Walking Street Market where art and handicrafts are sold. There is entertainment in the place, and Thai food abounds. Exotic delicacies can also be found. I even tried to eat fried silkworms on my last visit.
Address: Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai, Thailand
the street artists in Chiang Mai, can make your portrait in just a few minutes. They can copy your pictures or they can do it on the spot.
9. ENJOY A NIGHT PARTY AT S15 Boutique Asoke Hotel IN BANGKOK
The bar at the rooftop of S15 Boutique Asoke Hotel in Bangkok is a beautiful place to chill and unwind. You will have a good view of the city while at this place. Relaxing in this place could be the best thing to when concluding your trip to Amazing Thailand and s15hotel.com promotions.
10. SHOP AT THE NIGHT MARKET IN CHIANG MAI
That was my second time on the walking street in Chiang Mai, and I still love it. This place is perfect to buy some souvenirs at a ridiculously low price. You can even have your portrait done in a few minutes by the local artists. I was willing to have my painting done, but nobody accepted me. Having a complex face was the last of the reasons, Lol. The truth was, a lot were still waiting to have their portraits done.
