7 THINGS TO DO AT BANTUG LAKE RANCH

Do you want to unwind from the busy and noisy atmosphere of the city? Why don’t you go out  and commune with nature? Want to chill in a place where you are ambient by trees, where you can hear the sounds mother earth produce, listen to the gushing of the water, and feel the coolness as it touches your skin? Are you an animal lover? Do you like the feel of a rider feeling one with the horse? Do you want to spend time with friends, celebrating the wonders and beauty of life or just spend an ordinary day in an extraordinary way? A place is waiting for you. It is just a short ride from the heart of the city.

Bantug Lake Ranch is the perfect place for you. You can chill and relax while enjoying activities and amenities that will surely delight you, your family, and friends. You can locate the green and secluded lake ranch at Barangay Alangilan, Bacolod City. The owner inherited it from his Father Abelardo Bantug Jr. In 2009, the siblings, Michael and Reeda Bantug made the luxuriant orchard poultry and sugarcane field into a lake-ranch. While the family is selling farm lots, Michael decided to dig a lake. The lake is made of fresh water from a running creek that’s generating the water back to the creek. Animal-lover Michael decided to purchase prizewinning breeds and other animals. Some animals are from the benevolent benefactors that also love animals. Now Bantug Lake Ranch is also the home of the animals.

Chill and enjoy the following amenities and activities:

1. Horse feeding and petting

Animal lovers will find this activity very heartwarming. Getting close to the animals and touching and feeding them would give one a sense of satisfaction. One can also make the animals feel loved and cared. Horses are a bit scary in the first place, but actually, they are friendly if you’re good to them. A lot of horses are scattering around the picnic area. If you want to feed them, there is food available just for them, and it will only cost you P25.00 per jar. The experience of actually feeding the horses and spending time with them are moments that you can forever treasure. A farm assistant is always available to assist those who want to go near the horses and feed them. You can always capture this moment through a photo shoot with the horses. Feeding the horse is a personal experience one just can’t let pass.

2. Horseback riding

Children and young adults, and even adults will enjoy riding the horses on the ranch. They are high-breed horses that were intentionally put there to give customers a unique experience. Horseback riding is more fun in Bantug Lake Ranch than any Ranch here in Bacolod City. Experience the thrill and excitement as you get on the horse’s back. You can be a rider for 15 minutes and enjoy just going around the area for only P150.00 per 15 minutes.

3. Kalesa Ride

If you don’t feel like riding a horse, you can surely make the horse pull a calesa, while you enjoy sitting there like a princess. It will only cost you P50.00 and will give you two-round travel around the bullring area. The calesa is only made for you. You will never regret the time and the bonding with friendly horses and the same time meet new friends and acquaintances while riding a horse or a calesa. You can also be nostalgic as you sit in the calesa imagining yourself wearing a Maria Clara dress feeling like a real “Haciendera”.

4. Boating and fishing
You cannot just leave Bantug Ranch without trying  the boat/canoe. You can spend the afternoon cooling off in a man-made lake. Lanzones and Rambutans are not the only trees that Bantug Lake Ranch has. There are a lot more you can find. And you will be thrilled seeing them. You can chill under these trees while sleeping or read a book. It could also be a place to waste your time, unwind and breathe fresh air.

“Bantug Lake Ranch is worth visiting. The activities are very affordable and a must experience, the food may be slightly overpriced, but the view is fantastic, and the personnel are very kind and welcoming and accommodating to us. No wonder why it is one of the Negros must go places. It was worth the experience, and we can’t wait to go back again in the future.”
