5 THINGS TO DO AT CAMPUESTOHAN HIGHLAND RESORT | TRAVEL GUIDE

Campuestohan Highland Resort is a very popular destination in Talisay, Negros Occidental. Don’t be confused if you are seeing Campuestohan  Highland Resort in the blogs posted under Bacolod City. The truth is, the location of the place lies between Talisay and Bacolod City.

CAMPUESTOHAN HIGHLAND RESORT RATES AND THINGS TO DO

1. DAY TOUR SIGHTSEEING

Because of the proximity of the Campuestohan Highland Resort from Bacolod City, the place is just perfect for a day tour and sightseeing. For people who have some late afternoon flights, a side trip to Campuestohan is really feasible. Of course, you should rent a car for doing this.

2. PICNIC

We love going to the place during weekdays as weekends are always busy days for Campuestohan. The place has a grilling and barbecue area so you can just bring your meat and fish if you want to.

 

3. CHILDREN’S PARTY

For me, one of the best things to do in Campuestohan Highland resort is to have a children’s party. After the party proper, kids will surely be entertained by the various features of the place. They have several swimming pools which most kids really love. Other features of the place which kids will surely love are as follows:   King Kong, Children’s Playground, Ice Cream Parlor, Hanging, Heroes’ Hall, grand carousel, mini train, wave pool, several animal sculptures and much more.

Bringing of food at Campuestohan are allowed except in their pavilion restaurant. For the entrance fees, children 2 years old and below are exempted.

4. OVERNIGHT STAY

For those who would want to just be away from the noisy and busy city life, Campuestohan is just a nice place to go. It is so cold at night and very quiet too. 

5. TEAMBUILDING

I had already conducted a  team building a workshop at the resort. Based on my experience,  Campuestohan is an ideal place for team building, provided that the management must improve on the following:

• The Pavillion Room which they offer for meetings and training is not airconditioned so it gets quite warm when you do some activities. Just more electric fans will do.
• The Pavillion Room is not well lit.
• They lack manpower/waiters serving during the activities. Resulting in delayed services, etc.
• Food…variety, taste,etc.

So if you consider doing your seminar at the place, better be cleared about this first with the management.

For small groups, who would want to have some team building session at the place. Campuestohan has the following features: Zipline, Rope Course,  Sky Bicycle,  Horseback Riding, Hamster Wheel, Wave Pool, Bungee Trampoline

Campuestohan Highland Resort also accommodates guests who wish to camp. However, they charge P350.00/person per night.  This rate is already inclusive of the entrance fee and use of our toilet and bathroom facilities.  However, the resort will only allow guests to pitch their tents beginning 5 pm then pack-up by 6 am.

1. Shuttle Service (30-seater Air-conditioned Sarao)

1.A. Weekend Service – P 100.00/Person (Loading Area: Villa Angela Arcade parking lot fronting Lopue’s East Centre; Departure Time from Bacolod: 9:00 AM; Departure Time from Resort: 4:00 PM)

1.B. Private Group Charter – P 3,000.00 ( 2-way transport service; Pick-up and drop-off point: within Bacolod City)

2. Nissan Urvan – P 1,500.00 ( The car has a maximum capacity of 15 persons; Day Trip Pick-up & Drop off)
3. Nissan Urvan – P 2,500.00 (Maximum Capacity : 15 persons; Overnight)

ENTRANCE FEE– P 150.00/person (Children 2 years old and below are free)

DAY COTTAGES

• Big Cottage (Good for 20 persons) – P 1,000.00
• Small Cottage (Good for 12-15 persons) – P 600.00
• Umbrella Hut (Good for 10 persons)- P 00

1. Indian Village

• Teepee Hut Family Room – P 5,000.00
• Teepee Hut Suite Room

– the fee is inclusive of a free entrance fee and breakfast for 6 persons; Air-conditioned

2. Log Cabin

• Good for 3 persons – P 3,000.00 (inclusive of the entrance  fee and breakfast for 3 persons)
• Good for 4 persons -P 4,000.00 (inclusive of the entrance fee and breakfast for 4 persons)
• Good for 5 persons -P 5,000.00 (inclusive of the entrance fee and breakfast for 5 persons)

3.Bonita Hut  – P 2,500.00

Bonita Hut can accommodate a maximum of 4 persons. Room rate is inclusive of free entrance for 4 persons

 4.King Kong Room   – P 6,000.00

Room rate is inclusive of the free entrance fee and breakfast for 6 persons; Air-conditioned; Loft type

• Room rates are subject to change without prior notice
• Room rates are INCLUSIVE OF 12% VAT
• Check-in time is 2:00 P.M.
• Check-out time is 12:00 NN
• Extra-person only @ P300.00/night (exclusive of breakfast)

HOW TO GET THERE

The Campuestohan Highland Resort is approximately  30-45 minutes drive from Bacolod or Talisay City. For guests who are not familiar with the place, it is best to commute via taxi or van rental.  Guests can also take a jeep from Burgos Market, Bacolod going to Brgy. Alangilan then tricycles going to Campuestohan Highland Resort.

The road from Bacolod to Campuestohan is well paved and even a sedan car can reach the place smoothly.
