HOW TO GO TO CATANDUANES

BY PLANE (MANILA – VIRAC, CATANDUANES)

The fastest and most convenient way to reach Catanduanes is by plane. The Manila to Virac, Catanduanes trip will only take 1 hour.

BY PLANE (MANILA – LEGASPI, ALBAY) & FERRY (ALBAY – CATANDUANES)

If you are having a trip in Albay you can go to Catanduanes by taking a 30-minute van ride going to the port at Tabaco, Albay. From that place take the ferry boat going to Calolbon/San Andres. The trip is approximately  3 hours and would cost at approximately  Php 290.00. There are 3 trips serving Albay to Calolbob/San Andres with departures at 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 01:00 PM.

 BY BUS (MANILA – ALBAY) & FERRY (ALBAY – CATANDUANES)

If you are not in a hurry or if the plane fare is too high, you can take a bus going to Albay or Sorsogon and get off at Tabaco, Albay. There are buses (RSL, Penafrancia,etc.) that leave regularly Alabang going to Bicol. The bus ride travel time is approximately 8-10 hours. Most travelers take the evening trip and sleep while on transit and arrive at Albay the following morning. From Albay, take a ferry at Tabaco port (Calolbon/San Andres Trip). The ferry ride trip takes around three hours.
