DIWATA SANG BAGO 2017 | BAGO CITY FESTIVAL QUEEN

My Valentine’s day was celebrated with the beauties of Bago City as I was invited as one of the judges for the recently concluded Diwata sang Bago 2017. Diwata sang Bago is the city’s festival queen search relative to the ongoing Babaylan Festival. Babaylan Festival is held every February of each year.

There were 12 contestants during the pageant night who competed in the different categories as follows: Production Number, Festival Costume, Swimsuit Competition, Long Gown Competition, and Question and Answer portion. The Talent competition was held separately from the pageant night.

Below are the 12 candidates and winners of Diwata sang Bago 2017 in their Diwata festival costume. Their costumes were inspired by the Classical elements of Nature: Earth, Air, Water, and Fire.

Candidate Number 1. Crissa Mae Pablito. She was awarded the Miss TRY during the coronation night.

Candidate Number 2. Cristy Jean Oquiana. She landed First Runner-up and won 2 Corporate Awards as follows: Miss Prince Hypermart and Miss Seven/Eleven.

Candidate Number 3. Mia Angelica Mayo. She won the Miss Empress corporate award.

Candidate Number 4. Qliczyll Claire Castino. She emerged as 2015 Diwata sang Bago,  2nd Runner-Up and won several special and corporate awards as follows:  Best in Festival Costume, Miss Photogenic, Best in Production Number Attire, Best in Festival Costume and  Miss Oil of Olay. Her festival costume also won as the Best Festival Costume Design which was created by Efren Abalahon.

Candidate Number 5. Herlyn Sodario. She was named the 2017 Diwata sang Bago -4th Runner-up

Candidate Number 6. Angelica Esther Portugaleza was declared as the 2017 Diwata sang Bago. She also won two special awards which include: Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown. Her gown also won as the Best Long Gown during the pageant night. Her corporate awards are as follows: Miss Bay Pizza, Miss Golden Hope, Miss Caltex, and Miss Distileria Bago, Inc.

Candidate Number 7. Marly de Guzman. She won 2 corporate awards: Miss Shell and Miss Data Link

Candidate Number 8. Angelica Tenero

Candidate Number 9. Andrea Nicole Perdeguin

Candidate Number 10. Shaira Mae de la Cruz. Shaira Mae landed as 2017 Diwata sang Bago- 3rd Runner-Up.  She also won 2 special awards and 3 corporate awards as follows: Miss Congeniality, Miss Talent, Miss Merczi, Miss Negros Grace and Miss Bagosphere.

Candidate Number 11. Mia Shaniela Macaranas. She was awarded as Miss Euratex during the pageant night.
