GEORGIA MELISSA TEDDY DACULES, 2016 MQ CANDIDATE NUMBER 9

COLEGIO SAN AGUSTIN – BACOLOD

I am Georgia Melissa Teddy Dacules, 18 years old and currently a Bachelor of Science in Nursing student of Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod. I was born on January 6, 1998. Every name tells a story and mine was derived from my grandparents’ name, “George and Georgetta”. On the other hand, my second name was based on my great-grandmothers’ name “Melisia”. I am dearly called “Honey” by my family and relatives while my close friends teasingly call me “George”.

Though I may have consistently belonged to the first sections on my elementary days and hailed once as a top performing student in my class, I would still consider being a Masskara Queen 2016 candidate as one of the greatest achievement I’ve ever had. This is definitely a chance for me to hone my talents and skills that would eventually help me prepare for my future. Subsequently, this will even allow me to inspire my fellow youth to become diverse yet live a life with dignity and be grounded in humility, simplicity and unwavering faith to our God almighty.

GEORGIA MELISSA TEDDY DACULES, 2016 MQ CANDIDATE NUMBER 9

As a teenager living in this challenging time, I have seen so much of people being in need of actual help. Therefore I am more inspired to live by my principle of helping the needy in the best way I can without expecting anything in return.

I believe, I deserve to win as a Masskara Queen 2016 because I possess a genuine desire to be a good inspiration to the youth. I would want to enliven the fact that beauty without a substance is like a tree that bears no fruit. We should begin to see beauty in a different light. It must be something that comes from within and radiates beautifully because it is used in a way that encourages everyone on doing good. In this disturbing time, I believe it is important that we don’t loose the beauty of being intellectually capable of making a firm stand based on facts especially on issues that need our voices to be heard. Therefore if given the chance to be crowned as the Masskara Queen 2016 I will make sure that I am by any means helpful to the local youth, may it be in actions or simply as a good role model
