JANINE PEARL EVANGELISTA CASILAO, 2016 MQ CANDIDATE NUMBER 4

VMA GLOBAL COLLEGE

I am born to be real, not to be perfect; I am here to be myself, not to be what someone else wants me to be; so, don’t judge me until you’ve known me, nor underestimate me until you challenged me. My name is Janine Pearl Evangelista Casilao, my friends call me Janine, a bonafide member of VMA Global College and Training Centers, Incorporated, taking Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Financial Management.

Janine Pearl Casilao won the following awards during the coronation night of the 2016 Masskara Queen:   Negros Bloggers’ Choice , Queen of Supercat and Designer’s Choice Awards

When I turned 20 last June 21, 2016, life started to open the door of opportunities that brings out the finest in me. It all started when I was appointed as Editor-in-chief of “The Lighthouse.” That does not only stretch my patience in dealing the staff and the boundless responsibility but also enhance my leadership and creativity. What is more wonderful is the camaraderie that is developed among the staff that makes tough times easy and late hours of duty a lot of fun.

What followed is that, I was elected as one of the officers of Business Management Association of the Philippines (BMAP) Region 6. Imagine, I was able to represent my school and the same time enjoys the privilege of learning more about my chosen field of endeavor.

I thought that those two achievements were already enough for me, but a “more than impossible one” came. I was crowned Miss VMA Global College 2016. Honestly, it was the most challenging and rewarding of all.

For whoever I will become whatever I may achieve and wherever I may go, there is only one thing that holds true “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. I believe with all my heart, that nothing is impossible if it is in accordance with God’s will and God has proven this many times in my life.

Now that a bigger challenge is laid before me, The Search for Masskara Queen 2016. I can’t find the right word to describe how I feel but what I know is, it makes me feel good because not every lady here in Bacolod City is given a chance to prove herself worthy of the crown.

Definitely, this is going to be a stiff competition that demands so much of our time to cope with the busy schedule without sacrificing our academic performance since school days has not yet ended. We need to prepare our mind and body because we have to stay alert and beautiful no matter how exhausted we are.

Just like all other contestants, I believe I deserve the crown because I am not only beautiful inside out, I have the character and values that are essential for the lady who will represent Bacolod to the nation and to the world.
