7 MUST TRY DISHES AT HIMAYA-AN GRILL, BACOLOD CITY
Have you already tried the Himaya-an Grill? A relatively new restaurant offering good food at very reasonable prices.
I was surprised when we tried for the first time this restaurant because their prices were pretty much lower than other restaurants of the same category.
Believe me, they are the perfect place to go if you wish to treat your entire barkada.
They have a homey but elegant ambiance, and the parking space is never a problem. And yes, the service is just perfect.
They are located beside the DC Cruz Building at Goldenfield Commercial Complex, Bacolod City.
Let me share with you 7 of my Personal Favorite Dishes offered by the Himaya-an Gill:
1.Pork Sisig
I so love their pork sisig. I usually shy away from any pork dishes, but because I like their version of sisig, I cheated so much on my first and second visit. Price: PHP 95.00
2.Tuna Kilawin
They have two versions of Tuna Kilawin: with Mayonaise and without mayo using only vinegar. I like this appetizer as they are using really fresh tuna. Price: PHP 180
Other appetizers offered on their menu include Honey Glazed Chicken, Salpicao, Spicy Crunchy Squid Head, Gambas a la Jillo, and Lumpia Shanghai. These are also perfect “pulutan” dishes, especially for those who would want to have some chill moments after office time.
3.Fresh Lumpia
Another great appetizer which I like most among the offerings of Himayaan Grill is their Fresh Lumpia. This dish is also a healthy snack item. With its yummy sauce, this dish is just perfect, and you will surely ask for more. Price: PHP 90.
4.Grilled Blue Marlin
I always have a fancy for grilled dishes. For me, they just provide the best flavor of the main ingredient. This Grilled Blue Marlin is simply delicious. Of course, you should eat this dish while it is still hot. Price: PHP 195
Other grilled items offered by the restaurant are Grilled Stuffed Squid, Tuna Belly in White Sauce, Grilled Tuna Belly, and Pork Chop. Of course, they also offer favorite grilled items like the Chicken Batocolon, Isaw and Atay.
5.Pork Barbeque
This dish is popular street food and a favorite item on any parties or special gatherings. Marinated in sweet barbeque sauce and served on a bamboo skewer, Pork Barbeque is just among the specialties of Himaya-an grill. If you are on a budget, 2 or 3 sticks of pork barbeque along with a cup of rice will surely give you a full meal. Price: PHP 30/stick
6.Chicken Inasal
If you want to treat any guests for a chicken Inasal, Himaya-an Grill is just the perfect place to go. Their chicken inasal is tender and juicy. You can opt for their regular chicken inasal or the native chicken which is more flavorful. Prices: PHP 110 ( legs/native chicken) ; PHP 120 (breast/native chicken); Regular Chicken Inasal : PHP 75 (legs) ,and PHP 80 (breast).
7.Chopsuey
One of my favorites, the Chopsuey. Himaya-an’s version of chopsuey is just perfect. The veggies are crispy and blended well with the flavors of other ingredients. Price: PhP195.
The dishes mentioned above were my personal favorites, but they still have a wide array of selection on their menu:
For those who would want to have a full meal, you will have plenty of choices such as Chicken Sotanghon, Pork Kare-kare, back Rib with Barbeque Sauce, Beef Caldereta, Bangus Sisig, and much more.
You should also try their various pizza flavors.
If you have a sweet tooth, they also offer various desserts to choose from.
So what are you waiting for? Bring the entire barkada and try the Himaya-an Grill.
