5 EVENTS IN THE PASIGABONG FESTIVAL OF BRGY. GRANADA YOU SHOULD NEVER MISS

5 EVENTS IN THE  PASIGABONG FESTIVAL OF BRGY. GRANADA YOU SHOULD NEVER MISS

Have you heard about the Pasigabong Festival of Brgy. Granada? Pasigabong festival is held every first week of April at Brgy.Garanda Bacolod City. While the Pasigabong festival is basically young, it can be considered as one of the biggest festivals as far as the barangay level is concerned. In fact, in my own observation, this festival can even be at far or even better than the festivals held in some municipalities in the province of Negros Occidental.

Brgy. Granada is one of most competitive amongst the barangays in Bacolod City as far as Street Dancing and Arena Dance Competition is concerned. Brgy. Granada had already won the back-to-back Championship in the world renowned Mmasskara Festival Bacolod City. This barangay has also been winning every year in the Bacolaodiat Festival in Bacolod City.

Brgy. Granada had gone a long way indeed. This barangay had  already represented Bacolod City in some major festivals in the country and even represented the city of smiles  in Hongkong.

It is good to note that the Pasigabong Festival  is also the venue of Brgy. Granada to hone the skills of their own young and budding choreographers.

With the credentials of Brgy. Granada, it’s no doubt that their own festivity, The Pasigabong Festival  is truly fun. Should you visit the Pasigabong Festival in the future, here’s the 5 Events in the Pasigabong Festival that you should never miss.

Street Dance Competition

The Pasigabong Street Dance competition  contributes 40% of the total points in winning the overall championship. The street dance competition gives everyone the chance to see the contingents performing especially those who cannot get in the gymnasium.

Merry Making

After the arena and street dance competition, all contingents would gather again at the gym for the merry making. This is the hilarious part of the competition because each contingent’s supporters cheers the loudest each time their representative would go center stage for the showdown.

Street Paint Party

The Street paint Party happens at around 5 in the afternoon. The main street in Brgy. Granada is being closed and guests are free to participate in the party – throwing colored paints to one another.

Search for Pasigabong Festival Queen

The last event of the Pasigabong  Festival is the search for Pasigabong Queen. You should see local beauties transformed into a goddess of beauty as they ramp and showcase their talent to the cheering crowd.

Congratulations to the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Granada, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Alfredo P. Talimodao, Jr. and the Festival Chairman, Hon. Armando Vito . Job well done!!!
