4 QUAN SUMMER COOLERS | Halo-halo, Mais Con Hielo, Buko Pandan, Saba Con Hielo

What is more exciting about summer is the idea that we can eat a lot of food that we do not usually carve for in a regular season. For instance, we are fond of craving ice-based food since we would like to be relieved from the heat of the weather. I still remember that back then, I used to tell my Mom how I wanted to take Halo-halo for my afternoon treats since it was really hot! And yes, in this article, let me share with you 4 Summer Coolers by Quan Delicacies which you could crave for this summer season.

Halo-Halo Quan Summer Coolers | Halo-halo, Mais Con Hielo, Buko Pandan, Saba Con Hielo

Halo-halo ( Summer Cooler )

The name itself speaks for a lot of things. Halo-halo means “mixed.” With that, it means that it is a mixture of different ingredients combined to come up with a single dessert. This is personally my childhood favorite since it is the most accessible summer treat of all and I can get one right away since there are a lot of vendors selling this in our neighborhood. Quan’s Halo-halo has ube (purple yam), special pudding as a topping,  gulaman, kamote (sweet potato), kaong (sugarberry), langka (jackfruit), macapuno (coconut sport), nata de coco, and much more.  In general, whatever combination of ingredients is used in preparing Halo-halo, it will always be delicious and refreshing!

Buko Pandan ( Quan Summer Coolers | Halo-halo, Mais Con Hielo, Buko Pandan, Saba Con Hielo )

Buko Pandan ( Summer Cooler )

This is another variant of Halo-halo, but it consists of a few ingredients. It has ice, coconut strip (buko), and gelatin made with pandan flavor. Mixing these ingredients is equivalent to having a taste of a combined coconut and pandan joint into a fantastic taste. Aside from that, the scent of it is also very inviting! Eating or drinking this one during the summer season has been the favorite of those who would not want to buy and prepare a lot of materials in having Halo-halo. As an alternative, Buko pandan is something that I  happily order whenever I visit Quan.

Mais Con Hielo ( Quan Summer Coolers | Halo-halo, Mais Con Hielo, Buko Pandan, Saba Con Hielo )

Mais Con Yelo ( Summer Cooler )

Another variation of Halo-halo is the Mais Con Yelo. Though this may be something that I also eat a lot often because of its availability, I still think that Mais Con Yelo deserves to have a spot in the best summer treats. Why?  Mais Con Yelo is simply delicious! It offers a unique taste of combined corn, ice, condensed milk, and evaporated milk!

Saba Con Hielo ( Quan Summer Coolers | Halo-halo, Mais Con Hielo, Buko Pandan, Saba Con Hielo )

Saba Con Hielo ( Summer Cooler )

Not offered regularly in other restaurants, the simplicity of Saba Con Hielo actually makes it actually delicious. Topped with cereals the combination, of banana, milk, and the nice texture of cornflakes makes this dessert perfect this summer.

Summer treats have never been this easy! Now that it is high time to eat something cold to relinquish the heat choose among the three top summer treats, and I am sure that you will be satisfied with the taste and at the same time, enjoy the delicious taste of whatever treat you choose. Good luck and have an amazing vacation with Quan Summer Coolers!
