Taipei Night Markets

5 TOP TAIPEI NIGHT MARKETS TO EXPERIENCE

All over the world, the nightlife means going to bars and nightclubs, however, Taiwan has given a whole new meaning to the term. Taiwan’s best nightlife is for food lovers and hunters, and you can find it in Taipei’s night food markets. It seems that Taiwanese locals and visitors have an affection for midnight snacks and there’s no stopping all through the night.

How Taipei Night Market Began

By tradition, it was the Chinese who first introduced night markets, but Taiwan adapted and made their own. What started to be a small gathering of night vendors selling various items, has now developed into one of the best and biggest night markets all over the world. Today, you will be treated to a wide array of food menu items that are a fusion of Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine.

By 2018, 10 of Taipei’s night food market establishments were included on the Taipei Michelin Bib Gourmand list, and by 2019, 24 food stalls made it to the selection.
