Imay’s Bar and Restaurant, located at 6th Street, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental is known as a seafood and native restaurant. If I treat some friends or guests visiting the City, Imay’s are always part of my dining options.
Lately, we have guests from Mindanao and we threw them a treat at Imay’s Bar and Restaurant. Of course we offered our seafood and other native cuisines to them.
While browsing their menu I’ve noticed that they have some meat offerings also on their menu, so we ordered a Crispy Tadyang and Crispy Pata. You bet, these two were on Top of My List for meat dishes of Imay’s Bar and Restaurant.
Crispy Pata, one of all-time favorite Filipino dishes served on special occasions or even everyday on authentic Filipino restaurants and fast food.
I tried first the Crispy Pata. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant because of its cholesterol content. But I can’t help it. Although this dish is done everywhere, Imay’s Crispy Pata for me is one of the best. The pork knuckles or pork legs skin was not the only crispy, but the meat was also tender and melts in your mouth.
Another dish which I guess most of our guest loved was the Crispy Tadyang. It is made up of beef spare ribs pre-boiled until tender, then deep fried and serve with vinegar chili dip. I guess the manner on how it was boiled and their frying techniques made it really yummy.
