I was one of the bloggers who was invited to try the 12 New Dishes of Vikings Bacolod as part of their treats for the graduates.
These dishes will be an addition to their already extensive array of food selections and will be served until the end of this month. Vikings Bacolod will also be giving a free buffet to any graduates who can present a proof of their graduation for this month, such as school program with their names on it or any other evidence from their school. In this promo, the graduate must be accompanied by three other paying customers so that they can avail of this promo.
Below are the 12 New Dishes of Vikings Bacolod for the graduates of 2016:
Beef Carpaccio is a excellent appetizer made of raw meat dish thinly sliced or pounded thin. The secret I guess for this pleasingly gourmet appetizer is in the use of high quality of fresh beef fillet.
Beef Carpaccio is best when paired with a mixed green salad. For me, I want it with some red wine – just perfect for any celebration.
This garlic bread is perfect for The professor Beef Carpaccio
3. BRAISED SEAFOOD
I guess the secret for this dish is in the choice of its freshest ingredients and the slow cooking. Reducing the liquid of the dish into the desired consistency made this dish just perfect.
4. SEAFOOD NEWBURG UNIVERSITY
For people who love rice, this dish is perfect for you. I guess the best secret of this recipe is in the sauce.
5. CAMPUS CHICKEN INASAL WITH ACHARA
Chicken Inasal (grilled Chicken)? Bacolod is known for its best juicy and flavorful grilled chicken or chicken inasal. One must try Viking’s version of grilled chicken.
6. HONORABLE BEEF WELLINGTON
Any celebration will be made special with this Honorable Beef Wellington of Vikings. Garnish with Veggies and Fresh Herbs. Beef Wellington is a fillet steak coated with pâté and duxelles, which is then wrapped in puff pastry and baked.
7. PORK RIBS NEW ORLEANS GRADUATES
Another beautiful dish for any celebration, the Pork Ribs New Orleans Graduates. I guess the secret of this recipe is in the marination and its sauce.
8. LAMB ROGAN JOSH
I just arrived from my 2-week fam trip to Kerala, India. So the moment a Vikings’ Chef entered the room bringing another dish for us to taste, I knew it is an Indian Food. The Lamb Rogan Josh is an aromatic lamb dish which is quite popular in India. But based on my readings this dish originates from Persian.
9. LASALLENA AL FORNO
Al Forno dishes I guess are food baked in an oven. This dish is a meal in itself having the carbohydrates and abundant meat.
10. LINZER CAKE TOWER
This Linzer Cake Tower is made of layers of cakes divided by strawberry jam and garnished with fresh strawberries and some chocolates.
11. NEW YORK CHEESE TART
I cannot tell what kind of cheese they use for this dessert. But I like it because it tasted just light and it looked more delectable because it was decorated with fresh strawberries.
12. THE GRADUATE’S DECADENT CHOCOLATE CAKE
If you love chocolate, then you’ll love the Graduate’s decadent Chocolate Cake of Vikings. The fresh strawberry garnishing gave this dessert a refreshing twist.
