Why We Love Buenos Aires Mountain Resort (And You Should, Too!)
I guess, I won’t get tired of blogging about Buenos Aires Mountain Resort. The place which is located at Brgy. Ilijan, Bago City is only a 45 minutes to an Hour travel time from Bacolod City and very accessible to both private and public transit.
I have listed several practical reasons why we love Buenos Aires Mountain Resort (and you should too!)
- Flowing Fresh Spring Water Source for their Swimming Pool
What I don’t like with some pools around is the capacity of their filter to clear the water, especially when there are plenty of people using it. You easily recognize that the water gets unclear after several hours.
At Buenos Aires Mountain Resort, fresh cold water is running from the spring. And their pool is literally bubbling over. Of course during night time they still treat the waters.
- Grill Your Own Food or Order a Native Chicken from the stands
We all love freshly cooked food. All over the place you will find a grilling station where you can cook your marinated pork chops or liempo, charcoals are also available for sale in the area. If you don’t desire to be put out with cooking, merely ask the stalls to cook for you and just pay for a minimum sum. Better still, simply buy some fresh grilled food in the stalls. You can also ask for a native chicken tinola from the stalls. Only possibly the native chicken may not be readily available so better, ask the stalls as soon as you make it so that they can get one right away.
- Picture Perfect Garden
Do you know that the original landscaping of the place was brought off by a Japanese who was subsequently found out to be an officer of the Japanese Imperial Army in the World War 2? The resort was actually a hidden away during World War time. The original garden was not destroyed, especially the rock and concrete components and was only enhance until today. The beautiful landscape creates the situation perfect for picture sessions. The resort’s hostel is perched high on a hill, presenting a panoramic view of the people below and the original poles.
- Get the Beautiful View of Mt. Kanlaon
If you are sticking out on the easterly side of the resorts hostel, you will take in the full perspective of Mt. Kanlaon, making it a stark backdrop for a late afternoon photo op.
- Walk A Midst the Fog Early in the Morning
Each time I visit and stayed overnight at the place, I would normally take the opportunity to wake up early and have an early walk. Actually, I would like to catch the fog hovering the place early in the morning. It’s a different experience, promise!
- Try The Native “Kakanins” Freshly Cooked by the Locales
Catch some vendors selling “kakanin” early in the morning. People in the area normally cooked some native delicacies that they sell for the guests of the resort. If you would like to make to have these native delicacies , ask the assistance of the people in the stalls for you to order in advance.
- Test Your Power in their Olympic Size Swimming Pool
Buenos Aires Mountain Resort has two kiddie pools, one small pool for the adults and one Olympic size swimming pool. When I was even crazy about swimming and has the body to show, I have seen this space every weekend just to swim.
- Be Story Teller at Night
Unlike other resorts, Buenos Aires is peaceful at night. So this is the perfect place for you to bring out the “Lola Basyang” in you. Folk tales are perfect materials for the location. If you discover this tip corny, you can bring your play cards with you and have some merriment. A little alcohol for those that are drinking would be fine since the place is a lot cooler during night time.Just take note that the stalls also closes early, so better order for food and buy what you need before they close.
The stairs and other concrete components in this garden are still part of the original landscpae and was only repaired and enhanced.
- You will be at peace with nature
See beautiful birds and here their songs, trees abound at a Buenos Aires Mountain Resort and birds are normally spotted in the area. At dark, let the sounds of the small river beside the resort makes for you to slumber. The resort is also a safe spot to move back from the stir and bustle of the city life, a place perfect to be at peace with nature and be at peace with yourself.
- Jump Off Point to Other Destinations in Negros Occidental
The Buenos Aires Mountain resort is only a few km away from Guintubdan and Rafael Salas Mountain Resorts, Kipot Twin Falls, Pataan and Tinago Mountain Resort. All of these places mentions has magnificent waterfalls which you will certainly love.
- Budget Friendly
Topping the list why we patronize the resort – its budget friendly!!! If you contrive to remain overnight, you can opt for a non-air-conditioned room because it’s cool anyway! Please get at look at their rates below:

Wow, the scenery and the landscaping here are just so stunning…. for me kasi I prefer this kind of atmosphere.. yung maraming trees as if you are embracing the nature.. it’s definitely an ideal ambiance for me… This resort somehow reminds me of Loreland Farm resort at some point but the price here is more affordable.. thanks for sharing ^_^
